The Festival needs dozens of volunteers throughout the weekend to make the festival happen! Most volunteer shifts last about 3 hours, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the festivities. Please carefully review the list of possible job descriptions listed below, and use our VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION FORM to sign-up. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. If a younger person would like to volunteer they must be accompanied by an adult.

Volunteer Check-In will be located at the information tent at the intersection of Fayetteville and Davie Streets. A festival T-Shirt will be provided to all volunteers.

Festival Set-up (Saturday morning)
Volunteers will assist with set-up of the Festival site. Volunteers may be required to move and set-up tents, tables, chairs and may be required to do heavy lifting. Assist artists with load-in and vehicle traffic. Volunteers will be supervised by Festival staff.

Festival Break Down (Sunday evening)
Volunteers will assist with Festival site clean-up. Volunteers may be required to take down tents, move tables, chairs and to do heavy lifting. Assist artists with load-out and vehicle traffic. Volunteers will be supervised by Festival staff.

Family Village Activity Assistant (Various shifts both days)
Volunteers will assist with arts and craft making activities with school-aged children. Volunteers will be assigned tasks by the person responsible for the craft making activity. It is recommended that volunteers wear clothing that they don't mind getting dirty with paint or other crafting material.

Survey Takers (Various Shifts both days)
Volunteers will walk around Festival Site asking attendees to fill out a brief survey that asks demographic questions and make comments on the Festival. Volunteers should be outgoing and comfortable talking with people.

Artist Hospitality Assistant (Various Shifts both days)
Volunteers will help staff a hospitality room for participating artists and performers. This assignment is ideal if you prefer an indoor environment or cannot stand for long periods of time.

Festival Production Asssistant (Various shifts both days)
Volunteers will assist Festival Staff with various tasks which may include moving tents, signs, or barricades. They may be required to assist in moving equipment between performers set, and other duties as needed. Volunteers should be physically fit.
