The African American Cultural Festival in partnership with the City of Raleigh and Wake County is proud to present a family friendly celebration of African American arts and culture in downtown Raleigh.  The Festival takes place on Labor Day weekend in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina.

IF YOU STILL WOULD LIKE TO VOLUNTEER, WE COULD USE YOUR HELP!  PLEASE COME TO THE VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN TENT, LOCATED IN THE INTERSECTION OF FAYETTEVILLE & DAVIE STREETS DURING THE FESTIVAL, AND WE WILL PLACE YOU WHERE YOU WILL BE MOST NEEDED.

30 Americans - FREE admission on September 2 beginning at 6:30 PM, with music by Shana Tucker.  Exhibition runs through September 4.

Directions from I40
take exit 298B, S. Saunders St, going North into downtown. The event is two blocks east of the corner of McDowell and Davie Streets.

Please feel free to bring your own Lawn Chairs to the festival, if you'd like a seat near the stages.  Of course, we welcome everyone to get up and dance!

Don't forget to buy your African American Cultural Festival 2011 T-shirts.  Shirts will be available for sale at the InformationTent located in Davie Street for $15.00. 

The 2011 AACF T-shirt features the beatuiful painting "Rite of Passage 3" by artist Tunde Afolayan Famous.
